Just wondering if anyone else is arriving at Charles de Gaulle around noon May 3rd. We'd love to split the cost of a taxi to the hotel. Thanks. Janice and Karl Eichner

Hi Janice and Karl. Wendy Fitch lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and sent a message through the Facebook website. Here it is:
I booked a very reasonable transfer from CDG to our hotel on Hoppa.com. I had not heard of them before, but they appear to be a legit company offering shuttles for people from airports all over Europe and beyond. About $25 per person if you are willing to ride a shuttle bus. Since I'm arriving on a strike day, it seemed like a good solution.
I told Wendy I plan to wait for your flight and go with you since that's what we have discussed. I'm drowning in too much of too much and would like to know if you would be able to look into the Hoppa.com service and determine if it's something that could work for us?
Wendy contacted me recently and we realized we're on the same flight from Chicago O'hare to Paris and she suggested we share transportation. She doesn't want to wait the additional hour to depart the airport for Paris. I told her of our plans and that I intend to honor them. Thus, my request to you to see if we can make a reservation with Hoopa.com or another source that would be equally reasonable.
That works for me! I'm really looking forward to meeting you two AND the entire experience.
Great! I'll be in touch a few days before departure.
Hi Janice, Since you'll be landing at De Gaulle at 11:10 a.m (which is better than you had indicated in your first message), that gives me time to retrieve my luggage and traipse over to British Airways, wherever it is. I agree that we need to keep in touch as there could be changes in our flights. My flights were adjusted about a month ago to what I told you. My email is julieblade@gmail.com. Ditto about looking forward to meeting you!
Julie
Hi Julie. Sounds great if you really don't mind the wait. We're on British Airways (coming from Toronto via Heathrow) so we'll have to figure out a meeting point. Baggage claim area might be a logical choice. We're due in at 11:10 so fingers crossed we'll all get there around the same time. It's worth splitting the cost as a cab from the airport to downtown is about 50 Euro. Let's get in touch closer to the time. My e-mail address is jeichner@nexicom.net. Looking forward to meeting you! Janice.
Barring any more flight changes, I will be arriving at Charles De Gaulle at 10:05 am. I'll be flying on American. Would be happy to wait for you to catch a cab or Uber or whatever. Julie Blade (I live in Walnut Creek and will be flying out of SFO with a stop in Chicago O'hare on my way to De Gaulle)
